Milana
Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American actress, comedian, and activist. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actor when she was a young girl, shortly after moving to the United States. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials between 2013 and 2016 - and then in 2020 - have earned her acclaim. Commercial appearances weren't the only thing she did. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally she was a series regular on Yahoo! Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl on Marvel Rising in 2018 following her casting in the pilot series New Warriors. Vayntrub is an Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native, and also an American Jew. When she was two years old her parents and she immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to escape antisemitism, settling in West Hollywood. At five years of age, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the difficulties in the family's finances. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit school after her sophomore years. She obtained a GED and later obtained an undergraduate degree in Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. Through the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
