Moss, born 13 February 1977, is an ex-American footballer. He was an American
footballer who played for 14 seasons within the National Football League (NFL)
which included the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders and the New England
Patriots and Tennessee Titans. Moss is widely considered to be Jerry Rice's
most outstanding wide receiver. He holds the NFL single-season record for
touchdown receptions of 23 in 2007 the NFL rookie single-season touchdown
record (17 in 1998) and is the second player on the NFL's all-time regular
season touchdown receptions list, with 156. Moss is famous for his ability to
catch contested passes. The term "mossed" is a term that is now a
part of the vocabulary of football, became famous because of the fact that he
was a successful. Following his football career began, he was hired as a studio
analyst for ESPN for their Sunday NFL Countdown program and Monday Night
Countdown. Moss was born in Rand, West Virginia. Moss was a student at DuPont
High School. This was one of the two schools later amalgamated to form
Riverside High School. He excelled in basketball, football and baseball. Randy
was also a part of the school's debate team. Moss was a DuPont Panthers'
football player who helped them win back-to-back state championshipsin 1992 and
1993. Moss was a renowned wide receiver. He also played as a free safety and
punt return. He received the Kennedy Award in 1994 as West Virginia's Football
Player of the Year. Parade magazine named him to their All-American high school
football team in 1995 and in 2009 the magazine named him among the top 50
footballers from high school ever.
